3.14.1 When a worker works 52 weeks a year, there is nothing to prevent a written agreement between that worker and his employer on the payment of a set of wages including allowances and/or overtime. Such an agreement is signed by the worker and the employer and clearly defines the different elements of the remuneration package. This provision is intended to provide a mechanism for simplifying the management and operation of the collective agreement of schools and not to penalise the employee with regard to his rights under that agreement. 3.10.4 Until January 27, 2012, workers were entitled to qualification allowance in accordance with the provisions of the school collective agreement from December 10, 2009 to March 31, 2011, as if these provisions were included in that collective agreement. Minimum Wage Rate – effective April 1, 2020 The minimum wage has increased to $18.90 from April 1, 2020. Those who currently pay an hourly rate below the new minimum wage will automatically be increased to $18.90 per hour from April 1, 2020. The tariffs printed in the collective agreements will not change as long as the current collective agreements expire and a new collective agreement is concluded. 3.15.4 A worker who starts work during the year does not have access to an annual contract until early next year. 3.15.9 In the event of absence from sick leave or national leave, a worker is paid for these days at an annualized rate of fourteen days, provided that he is entitled to pay for those days in accordance with points 6.5 or 6.6 of this collective agreement. 3.15.6 Each annual agreement between the employee and the employer is subject to the following conditions: 3.1.3 The management group is reserved for employees who: 3.8.1 The progression is annual by rank level, provided that the worker meets or has exceeded the performance standards assessed by the employer on the basis of the job description and/or written requirements.
